Ryan Burns

Ryan completed his Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Honours at the University of Pretoria. Ryan then spent three years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their banking and capital markets division, working with clients in the private equity, banking and asset management industries and qualifying as a South African Chartered Accountant.

Ryan joined Phatisa in January 2017 to support the food-focused investment team and has since been promoted to Partner. Ryan has been involved in multiple buy-side and sell-side transactions during his time at Phatisa, successfully closing multiple transactions across both AAF and PFF 2. He has also meaningfully contributed to the portfolio management of these companies, including at director level, and played a key role in growing and developing the Phatisa investment team.
