Gwendolyn joined Phatisa’s environmental, social and governance team in March 2017. She identified an opportunity for Phatisa to formalise its impact measurement and management systems to better align to global trends in impact investing and to bring achieving development impact into strategic focus alongside commerciality. She was promoted to Head of Impact to build Phatisa’s impact capability and is now primarily responsible for identifying, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on Sustainable Development Goals-aligned projects targeted at addressing poverty, food security, and climate change in Africa. She holds an MA (Cum Laude) in Philosophy of Economics.
